About this Project
T-Calc's tiered gathering steps needed a ceiling and wall treatment that could control acoustics across a large, hard-surfaced assembly space while still feeling warm and inviting. AAPG supplied a coordinated wood ceiling panel and wall panel system, wrapping the seating risers and the wall behind them in a matching maple tone.
The continuous wood surface running from the ceiling down the back wall gives the space a cohesive, architectural feel that a standard acoustic tile ceiling couldn't match, while still delivering the sound control a multi-use gathering and presentation space needs.
