About this Project
1215 Superior's double-height lobby wraps its reception desk in a curved, multi-story wall that couldn't be built from flat, off-the-shelf panels. AAPG installed Abet Laminati HPL panels using the Parqwall mounting system, fabricating custom corner treatments so the panel faces could follow the wall's faceted curve without a single seam breaking the surface.
The panel joints were engineered to land precisely at each facet of the curve, with a continuous reveal-lit seam marking the transition where the wall bends inward toward the ceiling. Recessed lighting fixtures were built into the panel layout so the fixtures sit flush with the HPL surface instead of interrupting it, keeping the whole two-story wall reading as one uninterrupted plane right up to the ceiling connection.
The result is a lobby feature wall with the fit and finish of a single sculpted surface, built from a modular panel system engineered to handle a curve, a height, and a lighting integration that a standard flat installation couldn't have delivered.
