About this Project
The Arkansas Neuroscience Institute at St. Vincents in Little Rock called for a wall system that would bring warmth and a sense of calm to a clinical environment, without sacrificing the durability a busy healthcare facility demands. AAPG supplied real wood veneer Teak panels, installed horizontally on the Panawall frame system throughout the facility's corridors and patient-facing spaces.
Each panel measures 3' x 9', a scale chosen to minimize visible seams and give the walls a continuous, natural grain across long stretches of corridor. The same Teak veneer treatment was extended to the floor elevator housings, so the material language carries consistently through every part of the space a patient or visitor moves through.
Pairing a genuine wood veneer finish with the Panawall system gave the Institute the architectural warmth of solid wood, backed by a panelized installation built for the long service life a healthcare facility requires.
