About Avodire
Avodire veneer, sourced from the Turraeanthus africanus tree native to West Africa, is a pale, golden-blonde hardwood veneer sometimes called African Satinwood. It typically presents a straight to gently interlocked grain with an occasional mottled or wavy figure that catches the light with a soft, satiny sheen. Its light, cheerful tone makes it a popular alternative to primavera and true satinwood for designers seeking a bright, contemporary wood look.
Avodire is well suited to fine furniture, cabinetry, and wall paneling where a light, luminous wood tone is desired. It takes finishes cleanly and is prized for brightening interiors without the visual weight of darker wood species.
